Top Contenders for No. 1
The 2024 NBA Draft is set to take place on June 26-27, and the race for the No. 1 pick is heating up. Alexandre Sarr and Nikola Topic are currently the favorites, but a trio of Frenchmen are also in the mix.
French Prospects on the Rise
Victor Wembanyama, Scoot Henderson, and Quentin Grimes have all made significant jumps in recent mock drafts. Wembanyama, in particular, has impressed scouts with his size and athleticism. He's 7'3" with a 7'9" wingspan, and he can handle the ball and shoot like a guard.
Henderson and Grimes are more traditional guards, but they both have exceptional playmaking and scoring abilities. Henderson is a 6'2" point guard with great speed and vision, while Grimes is a 6'5" shooting guard with a smooth stroke.
Team Evaluations Intensifying
As the draft approaches, teams are intensifying their evaluations of prospects. They're bringing players in for workouts and interviews, and they're studying film to get a better sense of their strengths and weaknesses.
The 2024 NBA Draft is sure to be an exciting one, with several talented players expected to be taken near the top. The race for the No. 1 pick is still wide open, and there are sure to be plenty of surprises on draft night.
